Make a Lava Lamp

Make an easy lava lamp with a few ingredients.

Lava Lamp

• 600ml bottle with lid
• Vegetable oil
• Water
• Food colouring
• Alka-Seltzer tablets

Method

1. ¼ fill bottle with water
2. Add 5 drops of food colouring
3. Fill the rest of the bottle with oil – leaving 2cm space from the top
4. Add 1 Alka-Seltzer tablet
5. Watch the reaction
6. Once the bubbles have stopped put the lid back on and keep for next time.
